We are looking for a "hands-on", self-starter to lead our Accounting Department. The ideal candidate must have an accounting degree and a minimum of 10 years accounting experience. Strong communication skills, along with a solid knowledge of accounting theory, accounting systems (Quickbooks), Excel/MS Office products will be expected. Reporting to the owner, this position will be responsible for handling the day to day accounting that will include: Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, procedures and principles. Daily, weekly and monthly processing, reports and inquiries. Process and oversee daily, weekly, monthly and year end transactions for general ledger, cash receipts, inventory, payroll, revenue and operating expenses. Perform balance sheet account reconciliations. Completing monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations. Responsible for preparing and issuing monthly financial statements. Prepare annual tax return workpapers; assist tax accountants in preparation of tax returns. Reporting location monthly sales to Landlords. Assist in the coordination of annual audits. Complete special projects as assigned. Provide recommendations for improvements in systems and procedures. Candidate must be flexible, detailed orientated, and be able to multi-task several tasks at once. Salary Commensurate with
