Full Job Description Job Summary:
Seeking an entry level accountant to perform various accounting and analytical tasks to provide general support to the Controller and accounting team.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze Accident & Health insurance operational data (requires data entry).
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Record entries in Company general ledger
- Assist with the preparation of various client reporting. Assist with treasury and account payable activities
- Work with manager to verify that all reconciling items are researched and resolved
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with financial controls activities
Other Job Duties:
- Assist with special projects as they arise;
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or comparable industry experience is a plus
- Prior work experience in the insurance industry is a plus but not necessary as we will train.
- Effective team player with solid interpersonal relationship skills that can work and relate well with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
- Must have behavioral sensitivity, maturity, diplomacy, and tact in addressing complex situations.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
- Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
- Computer literacy is a must with proficiency in using O365 office programs.
