$70,000-$80,000 A manufacturing organization based in Ronkonkoma is seeking a Staff Accountant to support core accounting and operational finance functions. This role is ideal for an accountant with hands-on manufacturing experience who enjoys working closely with operations, inventory, and production teams. The position offers broad exposure across general ledger accounting, inventory, and reporting in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting activities including invoice processing, payment application, and account maintenance Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processes Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances Support inventory accounting, including reconciliation of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods Assist with tracking manufacturing costs and analyzing cost variances Prepare routine financial and operational reports for internal stakeholders Partner with operations, purchasing, and supply chain teams to resolve discrepancies Assist with audit requests and documentation Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Working knowledge of inventory and cost accounting principles Experience using ERP or manufacturing accounting systems Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally Preferred Experience Background in production-driven or inventory-intensive businesses Experience supporting month-end close in a manufacturing setting Exposure to multi-department operational environments Work Environment & Expectations Primarily office-based with regular computer and data analysis work Requires sustained attention to detail and analytical thinking Frequent interaction with internal teams across finance and operations Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs Ready to Take the Next Step?
