Full Job Description Staff Accountant Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will be responsible for supporting our accounting functions across multiple entities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess experience with QuickBooks , strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle various accounting tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts receivable and accounts payable, managing aging reports and ensuring timely collections Reconcile accounts and ensure that discrepancies are investigated and resolved in a timely manner. Perform daily accounting functions, including journal entries Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for. Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis for multiple entities. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Assist with QuickBooks software, managing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring accurate data entry. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and timely reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required). Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience , preferably in a similar role within a fast-paced environment. Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (experience with other accounting software is a plus). Ability to handle multiple entities and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
