Type:

full-time The Senior Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting, month-end close, project accounting, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations. The position will also serve as a key contributor to the administration, improvement, and future upgrade of the firm's project accounting ERP system. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, excellent analytical skills, and experience in a project-based engineering, architecture, construction, or professional-services environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly financial reports, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses. Support month-end and year-end close and ensure deadlines are met. Manage project accounting, including revenue recognition, WIP, costs, accruals, and contract payment terms. Oversee accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable payments, payroll accounting, and employee expenses. Review accounting staff's work for accuracy, proper coding, documentation, and policy compliance. Administer and support the project accounting ERP system and participate in upgrades and system improvements. Develop financial reports, analyses, and schedules using advanced Excel functions. Supervise and train accounting staff and provide support across accounting functions as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field is required Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with project accounting, is required. Working knowledge of WIP accounting and paid-when-paid concepts Proficient in Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
