Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. This role will be actively involved in the monthly and quarterly close processes, with responsibilities spanning revenue recognition, cash and investment accounting, financial reporting, and process improvements. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and is eager to grow within a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, and various expense and balance sheet account analyses. Work closely with Finance and Treasury teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of accruals, reclasses, and bank reconciliations. Lead the accounting of global cash and investment processes, including recording monthly activity and working with Treasury to ensure accurate reporting. Compile and present financial information to key stakeholders, including management. Assist in the preparation of financial disclosures and ensure compliance with internal control policies and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. Support internal and external audits by facilitating requests and providing necessary documentation. Participate in process improvement initiatives and the implementation of new technology projects within the Accounting department. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key accounting processes. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 1-5 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting experience and CPA preferred). Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial applications (Oracle GL, FCCS, Smartview, Reval, or Clearwater a plus). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle large datasets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present financial information effectively. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Ability to work independently, think proactively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Salary Range:
$70k - $90k
