We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance Team. This is a full-time, in office position reporting to the Accounting Manager. We offer a competitive salary and great benefits package. The Staff Accountant provides daily accounting operations support and ensures accurate financial reporting. They will assist with general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, month-end close processes, and financial analysis while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.Key Responsibilities General Ledger & Journal Entries:
Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.Reconciliations:
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations within Microsoft Dynamics 365Business Central Month-End/Year-End Close:
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities ensuring deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate. Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation (prepaid, fixed assets, bad debt, payroll accounting etc)Accounts Payable/Receivables:
Support and monitor AP and AR functions, ensuring accurate coding, posting, and matching of transactions.Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and variance analysis. Support audits by providing requested financial information and documentation Monitor and maintain internal accounting controls Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or trends Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting procedures Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Prepare sales tax filings and other regulatory reports as needed Special projects assigned by Supervisor. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, Xlookup, Pivot tables) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Preferred Qualifications CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for day-to-day accounting functions Public accounting experience is a plus The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
