$25 to $27 hourly We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, billing, deposits, general ledger activity, and financial reporting. This position is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, accuracy, and organizational skills who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. ResponsibilitiesSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including receiving and posting customer payments and processing carrier payments when applicable.Manage daily deposits, bank transactions, agency billing, invoices, and direct bill commission postings.
Prepare financial reports and accounting statements, review reports for accuracy, and post journal entries to the general ledger.
Allocate expenditures to appropriate accounts while maintaining accurate records and responding professionally to accounting-related correspondence and inquiries.
QualificationsAccounting or business degree preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience preferred.
Minimum 1 year of Microsoft Excel experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures; experience with accounting software and spreadsheets preferred.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
