Job Description

Staff Accountant Location:
Goshen, NY – full-time onsite
Compensation:
$60,000 – $70,000 depending on experience CFS has partnered with an insurance agency based in Goshen, NY to identify their new Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will assist the Controller in preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. Responsibilities:
Assists with AP and AR functions. Responsible for receiving payments, creating daily deposits, and bank transactions. Responsible for agency billing, sending invoices to account managers and direct bill commission postings. Receiving and posting direct bill customer payments and pay carriers when applicable. Prepares financial reports and various accounting statements. Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy and posts journal entries to general ledger. Allocates expenditures to correct accounts as needed according to departmental procedures. Responds to all correspondence and phone calls in a timely and professional manner. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Perform any other related duties required by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience. Comfortability with MS Excel is a plus. #LI-TM2 #LI-Onsite #
