Company overview - We manufacture high‑quality, American‑made Murphy beds and cabinetry for hotels and homes across the United States. As a fast‑growing, fast‑paced business, we're looking for someone who can multitask effectively and is comfortable using system solutions to manage the many moving parts of the role. This is a full‑time position (40 hours / week) and includes a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation, health, dental, vision, sick time, a 401(k), and more. Position Summary The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, including account reconciliations, invoice processing, payment administration, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of accounting experience and strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting software platforms. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly and ongoing account reconciliations, including bank, vendor, and balance sheet accounts. Record and process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Manage accounts payable activities, including payment scheduling and execution. Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and reconciliation issues. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting requirements. Monitor outstanding payables and ensure adherence to payment terms. Support audit requests and provide required financial documentation. Utilize accounting and ERP systems to record, track, and reconcile transactions. Contribute to process improvements and strengthen accounting controls. Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-3 years of accounting experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment. Strong experience with account reconciliations, invoice processing and month end closing. Experience managing payments and accounts payable functions. Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. Odoo, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Quickbooks, or similar). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. CPA (or working toward CPA), MBA a plus Salary range estimated and dependent on experience: $50,000 - $65,000
