Job Description
Summary:
Performs a variety of basic accounting duties according to established credit union policies and procedures. Education and/orExperience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance requiredMinimum one year of accounting experience preferredJob Responsibilities:
Analyzes, reconciles, balances, and maintains accounting records in accordance with GAAP and other applicable laws and regulationsEnsures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledgerResolves general ledger/operational issues with other departments as necessaryCompiles financial data to assist more senior accountants in ensuring a timely and accurate monthly close of the general ledgerReconciles member financial activity systems to the general ledgerHandles operational aspects of certain member financial transaction typesPrepares ATM and ITM operational reconciliations on a daily and monthly cadence and provides manager with additional feedback as needed.Accurately and timely process return items and any other applicable transactionsAssist in preparing various financial reports for managementUtilize accounting system for reconciliations, document retention, and reportingPerform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor Benefits of Joining the
