Job Description
Part-Time Occupational Therapy Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Part-Time Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist to join our occupational therapy team. The ideal candidate has excellent phone communication skills, strong customer service abilities, and experience working in a healthcare or medical office setting.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner Answer phones and communicate with patients, physicians, and medical offices Schedule appointments and register new patients Enter and update patient information accurately Follow up with physicians' offices regarding prescriptions (RXs), referrals, orders, and required documentation Verify insurance information and explain basic patient responsibilities, including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and benefits Collect patient copays and payments Scan, organize, and maintain patient documents and medical records Send and follow up on medical record requests Maintain an organized front desk and manage daily tasks efficientlyQualifications:
Strong phone communication skills are a must Must be comfortable communicating with patients, doctors, and medical offices Ability to understand and explain insurance terms, including deductibles, copays, and patient responsibility Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Friendly, pleasant, and patient-focused attitude Medical office, front desk, or occupational therapy experience preferred EMR/EHR experience preferred Spanish-speaking preferredSchedule:
