Nassau Provisions, a leading food distributor delivering high-quality products to a broad range of customers across a large geographical footprint in the NYC Metro area and beyond, is seeking an experienced Junior Accountant to join their team.

Duties:

Process and verify AP invoices for payment in accordance with company policies. Review proper coding of invoices to correct accounts Experience with processing/reviewing a high volume of invoices daily. 3 way match- invoices, purchase orders and receiving prior to processing payment Reconcile vendor statements to vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Record monthly journal entries and assist with month-end closings Prepare, analyze and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts Other duties or special projects as assigned

Qualifications Minimum:

Associate's degree in accounting; Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred 2+years Accounting experience; Distribution or Food and Beverage Industry a plus Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work independently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical and communication skills Adaptable and willing to work in a changing environment where continued process improvement is expected Experience with MSOffice and accounting software systems such as Acumatica, Sage, or NetSuite General Ledger experience is required Nassau Provisions is an equal opportunity employer.
