Job Description

Junior Accountant Our client is seeking an experienced Junior Accountant to join their team. Responsibilities Process and verify Accounts Payable (AP) invoices for payment in accordance with company policies and procedures. Review and ensure proper coding of invoices to the appropriate accounts. Process and review a high volume of invoices on a daily basis. Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation prior to processing payments. Reconcile vendor statements to vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Prepare and record monthly journal entries and assist with month-end closing activities. Prepare, analyze, and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts. Assist with general ledger activities and accounting-related projects as needed. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience required. Experience in the distribution or food and beverage industry is a plus. General Ledger experience is required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work independently. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment where continuous process improvement is encouraged. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software systems such as Acumatica, Sage, or NetSuite is preferred. .
Pay:
From $67,000.00 per year
