Join a Growing Organization We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Manufacturing Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant to join our Finance team. As a Manufacturing Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, financial modeling, and management reporting. You will partner across Finance, Accounting, Production, Operations, Procurement, and Engineering to evaluate manufacturing performance, labor and material costs, production capacity, margins, and operating results. What You'll Do Prepare and maintain annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-range financial plans for manufacturing operations. Analyze financial and operational results against budget, forecast, and prior-period performance and explain significant variances and business drivers. Develop and maintain financial models for revenue, gross margin, labor, material costs, overhead, production capacity, headcount, capital expenditures, and other key manufacturing metrics. Partner with Production and Operations leadership to evaluate production hours, staffing requirements, utilization, throughput, capacity, and other operational factors affecting financial performance. Analyze contract, project, product, and production-level profitability, including revenue, direct labor, material costs, overhead, margins, and other cost drivers. Support manufacturing cost accounting activities, including standard and actual costs, labor and overhead absorption, inventory-related costs, and manufacturing variances. Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, supporting schedules, and financial analysis. Prepare management reports, dashboards, financial presentations, and ad hoc analyses summarizing key financial and operational performance indicators. Monitor manufacturing and financial trends to identify risks, opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and areas requiring management attention. Partner with Procurement and Operations to evaluate material cost trends, purchase price variances, supplier impacts, and other manufacturing cost drivers. Support analysis of cash flow, working capital, inventory, capital expenditures, business cases, operational changes, staffing scenarios, pricing considerations, and other strategic initiatives. Maintain accurate financial models and reporting files, support audit requests, and follow established internal controls and accounting procedures. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required. 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or a related financial role. Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, engineered-to-order, or project-based environment strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and management reporting. Working knowledge of manufacturing cost concepts, including direct labor, materials, overhead, inventory, standard and actual costs, and gross margin analysis. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and financial modeling; Power BI or similar reporting experience is preferred. Experience using ERP and accounting systems and working with large volumes of financial and operational data. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present financial information to financial and non-financial stakeholders. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments. CPA, CMA, or relevant financial certification is preferred but not required. Why Join Us?
