Base Salary:
$60,000-$80,000/year Tully Rinckey is seeking a detail oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in our Latham, NY office. This role is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative environment and wants to grow with a nationally recognized law firm. At Tully Rinckey, our Finance team plays a critical role in supporting the firm's continued growth and operational excellence. You'll work alongside experienced professionals while gaining exposure to multi-entity accounting within a professional services environment.
Job Description:
As a Senior Accountant at Tully Rinckey, you will support day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable working in a deadline driven environment.
You will:
Upload and make decisions on positive pay transactions with the Firm's bank Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close activities Assist with daily processing and posting of incoming payments, including checks and electronic payments Handle consult attorney billing within the Firm and reconciling payments Assist with the posting of payroll and 401k journal entries with the Firm's controllers as needed Support the Firm's controller with the development of tax materials with external CPAs Assist with processing and post deposits and disbursements in Trust Accounts and maintain corresponding ledgers Assist with the preparation of monthly bank account reconciliations for the Firm's Controller Prepare and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and related accounting functions Support internal audits, billing code reviews, and case audits as needed Perform general ledger review and basic financial analysis Provide administrative and departmental support as assigned What Are We Looking For? Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting clerk role Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or a related field Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment Aderant experience is a plus QuickBooks experience is a plus JURIS experience is a plus
Compensation:
$60,000-$80,000 per year
