Type:

full-time Join a growing and dynamic organization in Westchester County, NY, as a Senior Accountant. This highly visible role will serve as a key member of a small, collaborative accounting team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of deferred revenue, lease accounting, cash flow management, and general accounting principles, while thriving in a hands-on environment where they can make a meaningful impact on a growing business. Local Westchester County, NY candidates only.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Monitor and account for deferred revenue, ensuring accurate recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Maintain lease accounting schedules and oversee related journal entries and reporting requirements. Analyze and monitor cash flow, assisting leadership with forecasting and liquidity planning. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts on a regular basis. Prepare and review monthly financial reports and variance analyses for management. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and annual audit support. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies and procedures. Support process improvements and help strengthen internal controls as the company continues to grow. Collaborate closely with operations and leadership teams on financial and business initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of deferred revenue, lease accounting, cash flow analysis, and general ledger accounting. Experience working in a growing company, franchise environment, or multi-location business preferred. Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills. CPA or CPA-track candidates are highly preferred. Must be local to Westchester County, NY and able to work collaboratively with an in-office team.
