A growing CPA firm with offices in Melville and New York City is looking to quickly hire an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join its Melville office team. This opportunity is ideal for a professional with recent public accounting experience who enjoys tax and accounting work, building strong client relationships, and serving as a trusted advisor to privately held businesses and individual clients. Strong opportunity for long-term professional growth with a growing CPA firm Work directly with firm partners and business owners Significant direct client interaction and the opportunity to build lasting client relationships Expand beyond traditional tax preparation into client advisory and year-round planning Exposure to a diverse client base and a broad range of tax and accounting matters Opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as you grow with the firm Competitive compensation based on experience Firm is looking to hire quickly Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership and other business tax returns Handle tax planning and year-round client accounting matters Work directly with business owners and individual clients regarding tax, accounting and financial questions Develop and maintain strong client relationships Assist clients with tax planning strategies and ongoing advisory needs Review financial statements and supporting accounting records Research tax issues and communicate findings clearly to clients Work closely with partners and senior members of the firm Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines Assist with additional accounting, tax and client advisory projects as needed Qualifications 3+ years of recent public accounting / CPA firm experience Strong tax preparation and accounting background Experience working directly with clients Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to independently manage client assignments and deadlines CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Pay:
$93,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
