ACCOUNTANT / CONTROLLER

Company Overview:

We are a leading importer and wholesale distributor of high-fashion apparel and accessories, serving a diverse range of clients with premium-quality products. We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage our financial operations with precision and efficiency. Candidates with garment industry experience and familiarity with Sage Accounting software are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions. Perform bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations for a multi-company organization. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Experience & Skills:

5 years of experience. Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the garment or fashion industry. Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliation processes. Knowledge of sales tax preparation and compliance.

Personal Attributes:

Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary:

$65,000 - $90,000 / year

Office near Mineola LIRR Train Station; from there to our office is a 20 minute walk or there is a taxi service at the station
