Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in tax return preparation as well as maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software. Knowledge of current tax programs, GoFileRoom, Engagement and QuickBooks is helpful. Duties Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports. Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Assist in the preparation and filing of client sales tax and payroll tax returns. Support internal audits and assist in implementing improvements to accounting processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Strong understanding of financial report interpretation and corporate finance principles. Knowledge of financial statement preparation and general ledger accounting. Knowledge of tax preparation, regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
