As an Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of accounting and finance. This internship is designed to provide you with a practical understanding of accounting principles and processes, as well as exposure to the day-to-day operations of an accounting department within an organization. You will work closely with experienced professionals and be an integral part of our team. This is a part-time role, flexible around your school schedule. Plainview, NY Responsibilities:
Assist with
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
Data Entry:
Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Help with the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice verification, reconciliation, and payment processing.
Bank Reconciliation:
Assist in reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software/tools is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges. Integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Currently enrolled in College/University majoring in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
