Junior Accountant About Our Client Our client is a growing organization within the marketing and creative services industry, supporting a diverse portfolio of campaigns and client engagements. They operate with a small, collaborative accounting team responsible for day-to-day financial operations. The company values flexibility, accuracy, and long-term employee development, offering a hands-on environment well suited for junior level professionals. Position Overview The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting operations with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and month?end close support. This role offers broad exposure to core accounting functions and the opportunity to expand responsibilities as experience develops. Key Responsibilities Support month-end close activities, including account analysis, journal entry review, prepaids, and accruals Maintain the Accounts Receivable ledger using QuickBooks and Excel Prepare and process monthly customer invoices Post cash receipts and prepare check deposits Assist with collections efforts in partnership with internal teams Provide backup support for Accounts Payable as needed Assist with audit support and ad-hoc accounting projects Systems & Tools QuickBooks Microsoft Excel (used heavily) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred Associate's degree in Accounting considered Finance degree accepted with relevant accounting coursework Open to new graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of experience Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a junior-level role Team & Culture Small accounting team (approximately 3 professionals) Hands-on training and exposure to multiple accounting functions Collaborative, casual, and low-ego work environment Strong history of long-term employee retention Marketing-focused culture that is energetic, flexible, and supportive Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
