Type:
full-time Overview An established systematic investment firm that still runs like a start-up, with a team of roughly 20 and a track record of steady growth. The firm was founded by alumni of leading quant shops and keeps an academic, research-driven culture. This seat sits on the Fund Finance & Accounting team, working side by side with the CFO and Controller as one of the first accountants to join the firm. Role A finance role built on a fund accounting foundation that grows to cover the entire business outside of research and engineering: trade monitoring, corporate accounting and budgeting, tax, treasury, HR operations, and broker management. For someone coming out of fund audit, it's a chance to learn how a quant fund operates from both the financial and operational side, take ownership of projects early, and build the full skillset of a future CFO. Responsibilities Build and maintain controls and automated processes for equities and futures trading, reconciliations, capital activity, and NAV reporting, investigating breaks and working with the right teams to fix the underlying process. Serve as the primary point of contact for the fund administrator and support month-end close across multiple funds. Run the annual audit, FATCA, and tax compliance engagements from the firm's side. Own AP, including corporate cards, employee expenses, vendor invoices, and year-end 1099 reporting. Maintain legal entity governing documents and broker agreements, and keep the firm current on regulatory and compliance requirements. Support the books, reporting, and tax work for select founder-related entities, coordinating with outside service providers. Additional Information Works directly with the CFO and Controller. I'm working exclusively with the hiring manager on this search, so your resume goes directly to the team. Even if you aren't actively looking, this is an opportunity to have a real conversation with a successful, growing quant fund.
