We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Project & Corporate Accountant to join our accounting team and support the financial operations of a diverse group of construction companies. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who wants more than a traditional accounting role—you'll gain exposure to multiple companies, construction projects, job costing, financial reporting, and day-to-day business operations. You'll work closely with both the accounting team and operational leadership, helping ensure our companies have accurate, timely financial information to make smart business decisions. What You'll Do Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned construction companies and projects Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities Assist with monthly financial statements and management reporting Support job-cost accounting , including reviewing project costs, labor, materials, subcontractors, and other job-related expenses Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable and assist with resolving discrepancies Review transactions for accuracy, proper coding, and appropriate allocation between companies and projects Assist with project billing, contract-related accounting, and cost tracking Analyze financial information and investigate unusual or unexpected variances Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other financial analysis as needed Work with project managers, operations teams, and company leadership to answer accounting and financial questions Support year-end audits, tax preparation, and other external accounting requests Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls Provide accounting support across multiple companies within our construction group as needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is organized, curious, analytical, and takes ownership of their work. Ideal qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of accounting experience preferred Construction or job-cost accounting experience is a plus Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with accounting software/ERP systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team A willingness to dig into the numbers and understand the story behind them Why This Role?
