POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant to the CFO position will work directly with the CFO and the Business Office team, providing high-level administrative and financial support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and financially proficient, with strong financial acumen and demonstrated experience working with budgets, financial analysis, financial reporting, and spreadsheets. The position requires a high degree of accuracy, sound judgement, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a high-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide administrative and clerical support, including, file management and calendar organization. Professionally respond to phone calls, emails, and other correspondence. Maintain accurate financial spreadsheets using Excel or Google Sheets; strong Excel skills are required. Assist with the preparation, organization, and analysis of budgets, financial data, reports, and spreadsheets. Document and maintain office procedures guidelines. Research pricing, purchasing options, and other financial information as requested. Run on-campus and local errands as needed for the CFO. Provide support for projects and tasks involving the Business Office, IT, and Facilities, as needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and GoogleWorkspace. Strong financial acumen, with the ability to work effectively with budgets, financial data, spreadsheets, and numerical analysis. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement. Flexible, collaborative, and eager to learn, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:

Bachelor's Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.

Experience:

Prior administrative, business office, finance, accounting, or related experience preferred. Experience working with budgets and financial data is highly desirable.

Computer Skills:

Strong proficiency in Excel is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and GoogleWorkspace is expected; experience with Blackbaud or similar financial systems is preferred.
