Valhalla Job Summary:
Consultant Advisor, ERP Kyle Johnson is recruiting this position. Our East Coast Healthcare client is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support hospital financial operations. This is a hands-on, production-focused role ideal for someone who thrives working independently in a fast-paced, shared office environment. This 12 month contract role is 5-days per week (100% onsite) in Valhalla NY. Key Responsibilities Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records in accordance with GAAP Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and prepaid analyses Support month-end close, audits, and budget preparation Analyze expense and FTE variances against budget Assist with tax filings (990s, 1120s, CHAR500) and regulatory reporting Liaise with external auditors and provide required documentation Monitor capital assets, depreciation schedules, and debt obligations Maintain financial systems data and reporting tools Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (MBA or CPA preferred) 3-5 years of accounting experience (healthcare preferred) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) Experience with financial systems such as Veradigm (Allscripts/McKesson) and Strata strongly preferred Familiarity with Infor, Lawson, Kronos, Cerner, or similar systems is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Additional Details Must be able to work on-site 5 days/week Flexibility to work extended hours and occasional weekends during close, audit, and budget cycles Limited time off during peak periods (January and Sept-October) Contract role with potential extension up to 18 months
