Episcopal Community Housing, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization which provides management services to four affordable senior apartment complexes located in Western New York, with a fifth project currently in development. Visit our website at www.echahousing.com.
Senior accountant position details:
We are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) experienced senior accountant who will be responsible for maintaining the company's accounting records, generating financial statements, and coordinating financial audits.
Senior accountant job duties include:
Responsible for all accounting and record-keeping duties for Episcopal Community Housing, Inc. and its managed apartment complexes. The company uses a third-party payroll processing firm. Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts. Process accounts payable. Record rent receipts. Generate monthly financial statements, which are reported to the respective Boards of Directors. Coordinate annual audits of the apartment projects and fully engage with auditors. File quarterly sales tax returns. Work closely with managers of housing projects, to record rent receipts and process payables timely and to ensure accurate record keeping.

Senior accountant qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in accounting or five years of equivalent work experience is required. Industry-specific experience is preferred. Must be self-motivated and work independently. Must possess strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
