Senior Accountant Our client are a dynamic sports and media organization operating at the intersection of live events, content, and entertainment. Our portfolio spans media production, digital platforms, partnerships, and licensing, and we're passionate about delivering compelling experiences to fans and audiences worldwide. Position Summary The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the monthly close process and the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements. This role requires a strong technical accounting foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with complex close cycles and enjoys partnering across teams to ensure financial accuracy and transparency. Key Responsibilities Own and execute key components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Ensure accurate preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance withU.S. GAAP
Analyze variances between actuals and budget/forecast and explain key drivers Support accounting for sports and media-related activities, including revenue recognition, production costs, rights, licensing, sponsorships, and royalties Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes to support a growing organization Assist with external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, Legal, and Production teams Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the close and reporting cycle Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required) 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting Proven experience managing or significantly contributing to month-end close Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:- The California Fair Chance Act
