Job Description

This position will provide accounting support for the warehouse functions, including the analysis of cost and inventory data, freight, and related systems and procedures. The employee will collaborate with production/accounting/inventory and is responsible for reviewing all production data entries and reconciling entries for production-related supply and raw material inventories, as well as work in process and finished goods inventories.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Applies cost accounting and analytical skills, along with production process experience, to measure production operations at the plant. Maintains and process improves financial internal controls. Reviews any inaccuracies of the data entry with the Production Leads including any process improvements. Works with production team to maintain tight inventory tracking. Calculates actual production costs, including raw material and labor. Develops pertinent reporting, covering the areas of inventory, production, actual cost, yield variances, and cost variances. Works with accounting team to complete manufacturing accounting month-end process. Works with sales support and logistic teams to ensure timely invoicing. Leads monthly inventory process to ensure accuracy. Track warranty claims from filing through completion. Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed. Responsible for expense coding and timely reporting of these expenditures. Produce financial reporting, financial statement close and consolidation process (monthly, quarterly, annually). Manual journal entries and reconciliations. Complete special projects assigned by Controller.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Sage or QuickBooks experience preferred. Five years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting, internal controls, and manufacturing production; experience in implementing processes related to accounting or financial reporting. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and manage well to all levels of organization and with team members. Must be a creative problem solver and strong attention to detail. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality. Proficient in Microsoft Suite, intermediate skill in Excel preferred.
