Chillicothe, Ohio Area Compensation:
$70,000 - $80,000

Manufacturing About the Opportunity A large, well-established organization in the Chillicothe, Ohio area is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This role offers excellent exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting foundation, strong attention to detail, and a desire to grow within a stable and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries Perform monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Support financial statement preparation and reporting activities Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Participate in audit preparation and ensure compliance with accounting policies Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 2+ years of accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Experience with account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close Proficiency in Microsoft Excel ERP system experience preferred Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills CPA pursuit or certification is a plus Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $70,000 - $80,000 Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid vacation and holidays Career growth and advancement opportunities Stable and team-oriented work environment Why Apply?
