Job Description
Ensure accurate financial reporting, focusing on special profjects.
Support financial reporting and analysis, claims, audits and other external reporting and filings.
Track costs and compile reports and records for insurance claims.
Manage various special projects and analyses supporting business needs and improvements. Perform detailed review of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and classification. Analyze inventory records, capital assets, maintenance parts, and other assets to ensure accuracy, valuation, and proper tracking and management of assets. Function with internal personnel to guarantee that tracking, accounting related tasks, and supervision of processes conform to defined procedures and best practices. Collaborate with external auditors, claims adjusters, and others to facilitate audits and compliance. Track, report on, and document costs for submission of large insurance claims, identifying, organizing, and coordinating inputs needed from various departments and systems, and communicating with leadership for direction and on final results. Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning processes, and complex accounting issues. Conduct internal audits and variance analyses to identify discrepancies and corrective actions. Assist in training and development of accounting and administrative staff. All other relevant tasks as assigned. Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration with CPA or CMA certification preferred.
5+ years accounting and financial analysis experience in manufacturing coprorate or public accounting environments. Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advance Excel skills.
Able to communicate and influence cross-functionally and at all levels in the organization.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
Project management or cross-functional leadership experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Independent organizational and time management skills.
