An Accountant organizes and maintains financial records and prepares financial statements for companies and organizations. Works as a public accountant (prepares financial documents where public disclosure is required by law, such as business balance sheets and tax returns), management accountant (prepares financial information for internal use by a company) or government accountant (maintains records for government agencies).
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee our organization's financial operations, ensure strict GAAP compliance, and mentor accounting staff. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in general ledger management, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and manufacturing-sector accounting. This individual must be able to report to the brick and mortar office daily.
Job Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Analyze financial data, summarize financial status, and prepare comprehensive financial and consolidated statements.
General Ledger & Month-End:
Maintain the general ledger and actively support the month-end and year-end close processes.
Audits & Compliance:
Direct internal and external audits while ensuring full adherence to GAAP principles and internal controls.
Process Improvement:
Develop, document, and review business processes, accounting policies, systems, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and control spending.
Payroll & Taxes:
Prepare and review payroll, and assist in filing federal, state, and local tax forms Compensation & Benefits Starting salary is $80,000, commensurate with experience in manufacturing. Education and Experience Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience in the manufacturing industry.
Software Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Familiarity with accounting software, with IQMS and/or Crystal Reports are considered a major plus.

Physical Requirements:
