Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join a long-term contract opportunity in Miamisburg, Ohio. This position will contribute to daily accounting operations across general ledger activity, cost accounting, payables, and receivables while helping ensure accurate financial records and dependable reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, sound accounting knowledge, and the flexibility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee general ledger activity by preparing entries, reviewing balances, and maintaining accurate account records.
  • Support monthly close by recording accruals, posting journal entries, and completing related reconciliation work on schedule.
  • Assist with financial reporting through account analysis, balance sheet reviews, and preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other key balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Contribute to cost accounting activities by analyzing inventory, reviewing product costs, and evaluating standard cost and variance results.
  • Handle accounts payable processing by verifying invoice accuracy and helping ensure payments are completed in a timely manner.
  • Manage accounts receivable functions such as billing, cash application, collections follow-up, and customer account reconciliation.
  • Review aging reports regularly and work with internal stakeholders to address overdue balances and improve collection outcomes.
  • Help maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable reporting requirements while supporting audits, budgeting, and forecasting efforts.
  • Partner with teams across operations, procurement, and leadership to improve accounting processes and strengthen financial accuracy.
