Accounts Payable Pay:
Starting at $18.00/hour
Schedule:
Flexible, up to 20 hours per week
Internship Duration:
Through late spring 2027 Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Accounting Intern - Accounts Payable to join our accounting team within our real estate development and investment organization. This position will provide hands-on experience supporting Accounts Payable for development projects, construction activities, properties, vendors, and corporate operations. The Accounting Intern will play an important role in helping the accounting team streamline AP processes, improve organization and efficiency, and maintain accurate financial records across our various projects and entities. Key Responsibilities Assist with processing, coding, and entering invoices for development projects, construction activities, properties, and corporate expenses. Review invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and supporting documentation. Assist with matching invoices to purchase orders, contracts, or other project documentation when applicable. Help maintain organized vendor records and Accounts Payable documentation. Assist with vendor communications and resolving invoice questions. Support the accounting team with AP reconciliations and payment preparation. Identify opportunities to improve and streamline Accounts Payable workflows and procedures. Assist with maintaining accurate cost coding by project, property, entity, or department. Provide general accounting and administrative support to the accounting team as needed. Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfortable working with numbers and learning accounting systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Dependable, organized, and eager to learn. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with the accounting and project teams. Previous accounting, construction, or real estate experience is a plus, but not required.
