Senior Accountant
Job Description
Description The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions through the preparation, analysis, and review of financial information. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supports compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and provides financial insights that support business decision-making. The Senior Accountant partners with cross-functional teams to maintain efficient accounting processes, resolve complex accounting issues, support audits, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Prepare and reconcile financial transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes through analysis, reporting, account maintenance, and preparation of supporting documentation. Analyze financial and operational data, investigate variances and discrepancies, and provide recommendations to improve business performance and process efficiency. Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards; support internal and external audit activities as needed. Partner with internal teams, external vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues, communicate financial information, and support business objectives. Utilize financial systems and reporting tools to validate, analyze, and report financial data while ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, special projects, and ad hoc reporting initiatives to drive operational effectiveness. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
