Job Description

Overview The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented leader, maintain a current and active CPA license (or be working toward it), possess a strong work ethic, be committed to the work, work with a sense of urgency, be accountable for assigned tasks, and be punctual and articulate. At a minimum, the candidate must have public accounting experience, knowledge of GAAP, moderate- to advanced-level Excel skills, QuickBooks bookkeeping software, and knowledge of Tax preparation software. It is preferred for the candidate to have an advanced knowledge of individual and business tax rules and be current on recent tax law changes. The senior accountant's responsibilities will include: Preparing financial statements. Preparing complex business and individual tax returns. Direct client communication. Provide client bookkeeping services. Prepare budget forecasts. Reconcile bank accounts & manage bank feeds. Coordinate seasonal tax planning efforts geared toward effective execution of planning objectives. Develop and train support team members. Payroll processing as needed. Other ad hoc projects as these come up. Skills Proven experience in Bookkeeping and Administrative Support. Familiarity with general accounting principles. Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality. Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulations. Computer savvy with working knowledge of relevant software (e.g., QuickBooks,). Exquisite math and numerical skills. Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication abilities Independent thinker with aptitude in problem-solving
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $88,483.23 per year
