Job Description

Position Summary As a Staff Accountant , you will play a key role in the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting. You will be responsible for performing complex accounting tasks, supporting month-ed and year-end close processes, and assisting with financial analysis. What is great about working for Foundation? Essential Functions & Responsibilities Perform and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate results Prepare journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and other required adjustments Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts Assist with the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries Partner with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Operations, and Sales to provide financial insight Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance accounting accuracy Assist with implementing new accounting policies, systems, and tools as needed All other duties as assigned Required Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 2+ years of progressive accounting experience required CPA certification preferred (active or in progress) Strong understanding of GAAP and general corporate accounting practices Experience with NetSuite (ERP) and Salesforce preferred Experience with accounting for payroll companies is a plus Advanced proficiency in Excel; comfortable with large data sets and complex formulas Other employee rewards include tickets to Cleveland sporting events, a variety of lunch and learns, and various employee-appreciation events throughout the year.
