  • ORT Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a skilled certified Surgical Technologist or Nursing
  • ORT professional to support an active operating room environment on a contract basis.
This role is vital in delivering safe, efficient patient care in a level 3 trauma center. The contract duration is 13 weeks.
Schedule/Hours:
Four 10-hour shifts weekly: 7:00am
  • 5:30pm Call duty required: plan for 1 call shift per week (5:30pm
  • 7:00am next day) One weekend call every five weeks (Saturday or Sunday, 7:00am
  • 7:00am) Call coverage is mandated; rotation established for unassigned coverage Must be able to reach facility within 30 minutes when on call
Qualifications:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Registered Nurse
  • ORT required Demonstrated experience in scrubbing orthopedic total joints, laparoscopic and robotic procedures Strong adaptability in high-acuity OR settings, especially trauma cases Effective communicator and collaborator on multidisciplinary surgical teams Reliable transportation and readiness for call coverage as detailed
Responsibilities:
Set up, maintain, and assist during a broad range of surgical procedures, notably orthopedic, laparoscopic, and robotic cases Maintain sterile field and accurately anticipate surgeon's needs Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure rapid, safe patient turnover and emergency responsiveness Strictly adhere to infection prevention standards and operative protocols Participate in rotating call schedule, arriving punctually and ready to respond within required timeframe This assignment is ideal for professionals seeking hands-on experience in an advanced trauma and surgical care environment.   • $1,920/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates.
