Description Staff Accountant

Position Summary The Staff Accountant will support the Heavy Maintenance billing and revenue functions by managing project-based financial activity, ensuring accurate reporting, and facilitating cross-departmental communication. This role requires strong analytical ability, high attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel. Key Responsibilities Compile project data for weekly status reporting and invoicing. Oversee the complete billing cycle, from invoice preparation through final payment. Assist with month-end close activities, including revenue recognition. Maintain ongoing communication with customer representatives and internal accounting personnel. Serve as the primary liaison between the Accounting team and Heavy Maintenance Project Managers. Analyze and report on project financial and performance metrics. Conduct special studies and assist in developing or refining accounting methods and procedures. Coordinate accounting-related matters with other departments and partner accounting teams. Provide technical guidance to the A/R Analyst as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting; OR an associate degree in a related field and 3-4 years of applicable experience. Preferred Qualifications Three (3) or more years of relevant accounting experience. Experience within the airline or MRO industry. Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
