Key Responsibilities Accounts payable duties:
process vendor invoices, reconcile statements, prepare and execute payments, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate accounts payable records while ensuring compliance with company policies and payment terms.
Accounts receivable duties:
generate and distribute customer invoices, post payments, monitor outstanding balances, follow up on past-due accounts, reconcile receivable accounts, and assist in maintaining healthy cash flow through timely collections. Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, preparing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting month-end and year-end close. Oversee business and new vendor setup and communicate requirements. Respond timely and accurately to general business emails, vendor emails, and phone calls. Assist with special projects and custom reports as needed. Flexibility in cross-training and learning new responsibilities and systems as needed. All other duties as assigned or required based on business needs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 1-2 years of accounting experience required. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Advanced technical skills with MS Office, Excel, and ability to learn new systems. Deltek Ajera accounting software experience preferred; willingness to learn is required. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and willingness to learn and grow with the organization. Ability to maintain priorities and an organized workflow in a growing, evolving work environment with concurrent tasks and projects. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
