Job Description

Staff Accountant Our client is looking for an Accountant who is eager to contribute, learn, and take on new challenges while working alongside a collaborative and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build on their accounting foundation, make an immediate impact, and grow professionally within a strong organization. Due to the urgent nature of this hiring need only candidates currently living in Mid-Willamette and Southern Willamette Valley region will be considered. This role is on-site in Albany, Oregon. Staff Accountant Responsibilities Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, financial statements, and related account analysis. Perform detailed general ledger, balance sheet, bank, and cash reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting. Maintain accounting for fixed assets, leases, property taxes, rebates, vendor programs, and other assigned financial activities. Research account discrepancies, perform financial and cost analysis, and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely. Assist with audits, internal controls, process documentation, reporting requests, and continuous improvement initiatives. Staff Accountant Qualifications Associate degree, or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance highly preferred. 2+ years of recent general ledger accounting experience required. Requires recent, hands-on experience preparing journal entries, performing bank and general ledger reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. GAAP knowledge and a solid understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and practices. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and experience working within an ERP or accounting system.
Salary:
$60K-$75K/year.
