Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Family Preservation Specialist with cross training in Alcohol & Drug General Outreach to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will work closely with families to promote stability, safety, and well-being through child welfare and family services. Your real world experience in navigating resources, crisis intervention, and behavioral health will empower you to support high-risk populations effectively. Additionally, your cross-training in alcohol and drug outreach will enable you to connect clients with essential resources for substance use recovery, fostering healthier family environments. Responsibilities Provide direct support to families involved in child welfare and child & family services, ensuring safety and stability. Engage with clients through effective communication skills to foster trust and clarity in service delivery. Collaborate with community partners, social workers, healthcare providers,to establish self sustaining progress. Maintain accurate documentation of case progress, client communication, and service plans using Microsoft Office tools while adhering to confidentiality standards. Support clients by providing tailored assistance that respects individual needs. Participate in ongoing training related to child welfare laws, family law updates, CPR/First Aid certification renewal, and substance use outreach techniques. Valid Drivers license and vehicle are required. Experience Previous experience working with children and families within social services or child welfare settings is highly preferred. Actively in recovery required for A & D Outreach cross training.. Familiarity with child protective services protocols, child & family services practices, is a plus. Experience working with culturally diverse communities and bilingual communication skills are advantageous but not reuired. Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health issues enhances service delivery effectiveness. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes is required. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential for engaging clients effectively and documenting case details accurately.

$34,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
