As an Full Charger Bookkeeper / Accountant at Status Accounting, L.L.C., you serve as the primary client liaison ensuring seamless delivery of financial services. Client Account Management Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring their accounting needs are met. Respond promptly to client inquiries via email, phone, or meetings. Assist clients in understanding financial reports and provide insights into their financial performance. Maintain client records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. Day-to-Day Bookkeeping Record/monitor daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and journal entries. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial data. Monitor cash flow and alert clients of any discrepancies or issues. Financial Reporting Prepare monthly financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Assist in generating custom reports as requested. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards. Compliance and Tax Support Gather and organize documentation required for sales tax, workers' compensation, and 1099 filings. Collaborate with the tax team to support clients' annual tax preparation. Stay informed about changes in accounting and tax regulations to advise clients accordingly. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Adopt and leverage software tools to optimize performance. Maintain knowledge of best practices and industry trends to enhance service delivery. Client Onboarding Support the onboarding of new clients by setting up accounts and processes. Ensure a smooth transition by gathering required information and understanding client-specific needs. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or client-facing accounting roles. Skills and Competencies Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Enterprise. Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service. Basic understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements. Ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritize tasks effectively. Personal Attributes Professional and polished demeanor suitable for high-end clients. Proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability. Discreet and able to maintain client confidentiality. Preferred Experience working in a high-end or boutique accounting firm is preferred. An associate degree or certification in business administration, accounting or a related field Experience in Keeper, BuilderTrend, Knowify, Bill.com, ProCore,other construction-related accounting software Knowledge of basic construction accounting and cost codes Ability to work flexibly, creatively, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles Strong organizational, and priority-management skills as well as the ability to switch tasks fluidly.
