They will work to support the ongoing operational needs of the accounting department. This person will bring their skills and experiences and a creative problem-solving approach to the team. This position is assigned to Western Protective Solutions located in Eugene, Oregon and will report to the Controller. Responsibilities General Accounting Reconcile GL accounts and post journal entries Intercompany Balancing Prepare financial statements in coordination with Controller and Chief Financial Officer Credit Card Reconciliation Reporting, Filing, and Paying Sales Tax in multiple jurisdictions Credit management per established policy Support treasury functions through banking activities Partner with Management to support robust process development, enabling growth Design and support process changes which enable a faster month-end close Support annual audit Electronic document control Backup Accounts Receivable - Invoicing, Collections, and taking customer calls Internal audit - assist ISO compliance efforts by participating in internal audits of operational tasks Provide administrative support to finance and executive teams as needed Support projects and other roles within the accounting department through reciprocal cross-training Keep workplace clean, tidy and in good condition. Other duties as assigned. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Engaging in repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers - typing and/or writing. Working frequently at close visual range (i.e. preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcription, computer terminal, extensive reading). Qualifications 4-year degree in Accounting, or 2-year degree with experience and demonstrated competence in application of accounting principles.MBA, CPA, CMA
a plus, not required Firm understanding of GAAP principles, including internal controls 5+ years industry experience with increasing responsibilities. Strong Excel skills.
