We focus mostly on tax preparation and planning for business entities, trusts, estates, and individuals, while also providing other services such as financial statements, payroll, and business advisory services. Our clientele represents a wide array of industries, ranging from healthcare, construction, restaurants, to non-profit organizations. We have a friendly and collaborative office environment with about 15 staff members. We are looking for a Tax Preparer/Staff Accountant to help us meet the needs of our ever-evolving and growing clients in both tax and accounting. As a Staff Accountant you would work on a variety of tax and accounting projects, working alongside the CPA/client manager to provide tax returns, financial statements, or other projects. Preferred skills and experience Preferably at least 3 year of tax preparation, and experience in a public accounting/CPA firm setting Computer and software skills (We use Lacerte, QuickBooks, Creative Solutions - prior experience in these is helpful) QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks online experience Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients Ability to handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines Desire to learn more and expand your existing areas of knowledge Ability to be flexible in a changing environment What We Offer A collaborative team-oriented office environment, with tenured staff that would help support your professional growth, and provide support to help with client engagements Competitive salary and benefits, including health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, 401k and profit-sharing, cafeteria plan Flexible post-tax season schedules Details Hours can increase to 50-55 per week during tax season, and we work to allow staff to apply additional hours flexibly, either early morning or evenings.
