Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Reconcile various accounts (e.g., bank statements, accounts payable/receivable) and investigate and resolve discrepancies. Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Must be proficient in Excel Maintain a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant industry regulations. Support with internal controls and ensure adherence to company accounting policies. Collaborate effectively with other departments (e.g., Finance, Operations) to gather and analyze financial information.
Required Skills/Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, mapping, and financial statement preparation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting tight deadlines. Strong mapping and document processing skills. Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (e.g., Finance). Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role. 3 years experience in accounting role
