Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Salem, Oregon. This role involves conducting thorough payroll reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be comfortable handling meticulous and data-intensive tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed payroll reconciliation processes
• Export and organize payroll data into Excel for analysis and verification.
• Analyze timecard records
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders
• Maintain organized documentation and records for auditing purposes.
• Provide periodic updates on project progress to management.
• Ensure all accounting practices align with applicable regulations and standards Requirements
• Proven experience in payroll reconciliation and accounting processes.
• Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in timecards and payroll records.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger records.
