• Great Benefits

• Great Team Are you an accounting professional who knows fixed assets inside and out—and enjoys being the person who makes sure the numbers, records, and details are right? A well-established, growing organization is looking for an Asset Accountant to take ownership of its fixed asset accounting function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of technical accounting, analysis, process management, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll play an important role in managing the full lifecycle of a significant and diverse asset base - from acquisition and capitalization through depreciation, transfers, maintenance, and eventual disposal. You'll work closely with operations, procurement, project teams, and other departments to ensure accurate financial information and strong processes. What You'll Get to Do Own the fixed asset accounting process from acquisition through disposal. Maintain and reconcile fixed asset subledgers and general ledger accounts. Ensure assets are properly capitalized in accordance with company policies and GAAP. Record depreciation, amortization, adjustments, transfers, and disposals. Monitor capital projects and construction-in-progress and ensure timely closeouts. Review asset coding, useful lives, depreciation methods, and supporting documentation. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset schedules and reports. Support internal and external audits with reconciliations and documentation. Assist with capital expenditure budgeting and forecasting. Maintain accurate records related to equipment, leases, licensing, titles, and other asset activity. Track equipment-related information including hours, mileage, transfers, allocations, and other activity. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and related records. Calculate and record equipment rates and related adjustments. Review and process journal entries and account reconciliations. Support capital project tracking and reporting. Partner with procurement, operations, and project teams to ensure data integrity. Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting, and efficiency. Ensure accounting records and processes support applicable regulatory and company requirements. Take ownership of deadlines and work independently while collaborating across the organization. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in accounting. 5+ years of fixed asset accounting experience, or a strong accounting background with significant fixed asset exposure. Solid understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles. Experience working with an ERP system and fixed asset module. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong organization and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and follow through. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A proactive approach and willingness to dig into the details to find answers. Why This Opportunity? This isn't a role where you'll simply reconcile accounts and move on to the next task. You'll own an important accounting function and become a go-to resource for fixed asset activity across the organization. It's a great fit for an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant, Senior Accountant, or accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, improving processes, and having meaningful responsibility and tremendous growth opportunities.
