Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Summary The Accountant prepares, examines and analyzes accounting reports, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

High level of complex responsibility Working knowledge of ResMan and SAGE or equivalent accounting software packages and databases Enjoy working hard and pursues everything with energy and has a drive and need to finish Has a strong ethic of accountability and dedication to the job Has functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment Be a team member that is easy to approach and talk to-builds rapport well Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers Listens and communicates effectively and professionally both verbal and in writing Uses time effectively to meet deadlines Concentrates efforts on most important priorities Essential Duties Record and maintain financial transactions in the general ledger
  • Prepare Journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjusting entries
  • Analyze financial data and identify variances or unusual trends
  • Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable (tenant ledgers) and payroll transactions
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits
  • Prepare and analyze monthly GAAP financial reports
  • Respond to owners, investors, and agency inquiries and requests as required
  • Assist with year-end closings which include preparation of annual financial statement packages for outside CPA's and posting audit adjustments
  • Assist with quarterly and annual accounting reports to owners, investors and regulators
  • Assist with monthly mortgage processing
  • Complete and approve monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile several general ledger accounts and update schedules
  • Calculate and process various journal entries
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
  • Prepare check requests or bank transfers as needed
  • Assist with calculating management fees to charge clients
  • Assist with year-end audit preparation
  • Assist Accounting Manager and VP of Finance & Accounting
  • Perform other duties as assigned
