Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills while contributing to the financial health of our organization.
Bookkeeper / Entry
Level Accountant Duties Responsible for maintaining the financial backbone of an organization by accurately recording and organizing all financial transactions.
Core duties include:
Accurate Record-Keeping :
Recording daily financial transactions such as sales, purchases, and payroll in an organized manner to ensure precise financial statements and reports. Data entry and reconciliations.
General Ledger Management :
Updating and reconciling the general ledger, preparing trial balances, and ensuring all accounts are accurate
Banking :
Verifying bank statements against company records to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies. Doing check runs, ACH's & Wires. Maintaining banking spreadsheets.
Payroll Assistance :
Supporting payroll processing by recording payroll transactions and maintaining payroll-related records
Invoice and Payment Management :
Generating invoices, tracking accounts receivable, posting cash receipts, posting payables, and ensuring timely payments Experience with SAP accounting software a plus and proficiency with Microsoft suite of software required. Payroll Clerk Duties A payroll clerk focuses specifically on employee compensation and payroll compliance.
Core responsibilities include:
Payroll Processing :
Collecting employee timesheets, verifying work hours, calculating wages, deductions, and benefits, and issuing paychecks
Record Maintenance :
Updating and maintaining payroll records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee information
Compliance :
Ensuring payroll operations comply with tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies, including remitting payroll taxes and contributions
Reporting :
Preparing payroll reports for management and collaborating with HR to address payroll-related inquiries
Discrepancy Resolution :
Reconciling payroll discrepancies and resolving employee payment issues or benefits issues promptly
